Palacio Carvajal Giron

Right in the heart of Plasencia, Extremadura, Spain, stands a 16th century Renaissance palace that now houses the exquisite Hotel Palacio Carvajal Girón. This edifice has been recovered and painstakingly restored over a period of two years, with the typical dressed facade is complemented by a grand entryway, ample coffered salons and staircases. Guest rooms—divided into three levels—are warm and bright, tastefully combining the traditional style of the building with touches of modernity and design. At the heart of this marvelous building, a monumental patio preserves its original design of pilasters, balustrade, upper galleries, staircase, and two wells with original curbstones and forged ironwork.
